Series Embeds

When Archivist sees an AO3 series link in a Discord message, a series embed will appear automatically. Series embeds provide information about a series inside of a Discord embed without you going to AO3!

Included information

Section titled “Included information”
  • Series name - shows series name with link to series
  • Author(s) — list of authors with links to their profiles
  • Started — date series started
  • Updated — most recent update date
  • Status — whether the work is “Complete” or “In progress”
  • Works — number of works in the series
  • Total Words — the total word count of all the works
  • Bookmarks — number of bookmarks on the series
  • Notes — any series notes
  • Description — the series description

The series embed is split into pages when the notes and summary are long. This lets you see all the content with a small embed.

If you did not post the link, the pages appear in a temporary message only you can see. This lets each person control their own copy of the embed.

Series embeds can be changed by using the settings command. You can choose where they post with the redirect command.
